Ichiyami Buffet & Sushi - Sushi Buffet with Fresh Options in Boca Raton, FL

We went last night as a group of 5. Expect a wait on a Satuedsy night around 6:30 Lots of choices on the buffet Food was ok, nothing I would return for specifically. There was nice broccoli and green beans and i liked scooping my own miso soup so that I could take more sea weed and tofu than they usually give. Server was quick to remove dirty plates and refill water $32 per person is a bargain. I would only return as a party of 2. Most tables require others in the table to get up each time that you get up which is not a great experience for a buffet.

It’s hard to be all things to all people, but Ichiyami comes close. This is the best Asian buffet in the area that offers a great value. It's worth a visit if you want to enjoy sushi "and something else" at a place that can do both things well. Even if someone in your group doesn’t eat raw fish, I’ll bet they’ll still leave feeling satisfied because they offer pretty solid new york style chinese food, a hibachi grill, and snow crab. I also see plenty of happy looking kids with plates of uncomplicated fried chicken, tempura shrimp, egg rolls, etc. For sushi lovers, they offer a wide selection of rolls, the basic nigiri options, as well as some small sashimi. The rolls are the highlight; the nigiri and sashimi are fine but not what I’d come here specifically for. My favorite is the roll topped with fried plantain, which is a fun south florida twist that I've never seen anywhere else. FYI most of the rolls have at least one thing (in or out) that's not raw fish, perhaps a pro to some but a con for others. They're all really nicely done with the right ratio of rice to the good stuff. This isn't where I'd go if you really like one type of fish and want it presented a bunch of ways or can't appreciate some nicely crafted rolls that use tempura shrimp or imitation crab. It’s really the combo of sushi, snow crab, oysters, muscles, ceviche, shrimp, hibachi grill + all the ny style Chinese food you can eat that makes this place worth a trip. You really can't beat this for the price. It’s always packed, and they turn through the food on the buffet quickly, so I don’t feel like anything is sitting too long. The biggest con is that the space is small, so there’s almost always a wait, and it’s slightly hectic and a little tight in the restaurant, but that's because everyone knows this place is consistently good.

The selection of food is fantastic, both raw and cooked had a nice selection! It is a buffet and all you can eat. The seafood/sushi, oysters, crab are all very fresh and delicious!

Although it’s all-you-can-eat, the sushi is really good and the other dishes are also quite delicious. The dirty restrooms and some employees sleeping on the couch right outside the bathroom are a bit disturbing, but not a big deal. Considering the quality of the food, the price is extremely affordable — almost like getting it for free.

I love Ichiyami !! My wish is if they would add Gyoza BEEF or CHICKEN DUMPLINGS! There are only pork ones and a lot of pork but just one beef dish.

Absolutely the best Asian buffet that I have ever experienced. The only negative mark I gave is due only to the success of the restaurant. It was packed inside and out making the atmosphere a loud one. As a single I sat at the bar and was really well taken care of.

Great buffet. Food is always fresh. Sushi prep area very clean. Great assortment of rolls for the kids to try.

I was celebrating my birthday the waiting time was about 15 minutes! Not bad for a Friday. Customer service was amazing and the hibachi was delicious, very tasty and fresh! Please bring cash to Tip the cooks at the hibachi section, those guys work hard and cook delicious the rest of our experience was amazing! The sushi was really good and their buffet choices are really good . At the end they brought a dessert with a candle plus our waitress gave me a little special gift for my birthday kudos to the staff members here at Ichiyami restaurant and thank you for the gift, it made my birthday celebration very special!!!!
